Dwelling Designs for Diné (D3)

When this project is in full implementation mode in the fall, D3 will offer economic development readiness activities to hundreds of high risk youth, aged 16-24 years old, living on the Navajo Nation. We will do so by providing job training and education services to support the growing area construction industry and by focusing on substantial renovation of dilapidated housing in low-income Navajo communities. In addition to certificates in electrical, plumbing, and building inspection, the project will offer curriculum through the YouthBuild Trainee-Apprenticeship Preparation Program (YB-TAP), combining soft-skills and technical skills in order to foster participant success in registered apprenticeship programs.
