This program aims to improve the livelihood of Navajo artists by engaging the public in the Navajo arts, such as rug weaving, jewelry, pottery, sand painting, crafts, and music. Through funding from the National Endowment of the Arts, our goal is to increase the exposure and marketability of these art forms. The NATIVE Project promotes culture, increases the development of Native American art, and positively influences Native artists through higher compensation, increased exposure, and direct sales of their art.
