Win up to a maximum of $550,000 per year for a period of 5 years to fund demonstration projects that support the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that embrace proactive efforts to build on the strengths of families, including those at high risk for child maltreatment. The projects will enhance the capacity of communities to address the well-being needs of families before more formal strategies, practices, or activities are warranted. The Program will address site specific barriers in order to reduce the number of referrals to the public child welfare agency.
