CBI will recruit, train, and certify Peer Recovery Coaches to help Native American children, youth, families, and caregivers who have been negatively affected by familial substance use and who live in the Navajo Nation in NM and in bordering towns in NM. In collaboration with the funder, CBI will develop a culturally sensitive recovery coach training curriculum. In addition, CBI will establish a Child and Youth Victim Committee to develop best practices, a resource guide for youth and families affected by the drug crisis addressing Social Determinants of Health and establish a sustainable process to continue to expand the peer recovery coaches employed in non-clinical settings.
